Mac launcher downloads are for compatibility-layer workflows.

.app.tar.gz — use with Wine, CrossOver, Proton, or similar compatibility tooling
Linux x86_64 (Launcher only) .AppImage for Intel/AMD Run via umu-launcher (recommended) or equivalent Proton layer
Linux aarch64 (Launcher only) .AppImage for ARM Run via umu-launcher (recommended) or equivalent Proton layer

Recommendation

For Linux, use the native Linux launcher build plus umu-launcher to launch the client directly through Proton.

  • Install the native Linux launcher build for your architecture.
  • Install umu-launcher.
  • Install webkit2gtk-4.1 so the launcher starts.
  • If needed, install all of these instead: webkit2gtk-4.1 gtk3 libsoup3 umu-launcher.
